Acer Iconia Tab A220 Appears on GLBenchmark

Some benchmarking tools have a real knack for detecting the existence of a device before the media find them. The GLBenchmark is one of them and it reveals a tablet with some really solid specs. Based on the benchmark data, the Acer Iconia Tab A220 should flaunt a display with 1280 x 752 pixels resolution, 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor and Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). In general, we could be seeing a 7” version of the Iconia Tab A700, so this device is worth keeping our eyes on. The display resolution is pretty solid for a 7” device and it also has the beast of a processor. The Iconia Tab A220 could become a serious competitor to the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle HD if it’s priced properly. Again, it’s easy to fake a benchmark result, so you should take this with a grain of salt. Only time will tell whether the tablet turns out to be the real deal.
